One word of caution though: if your presentation sucks, people will assume the same of your technical competence and you&#039;ll risk severely damaging your employability.  Treat the task of presenting as though it was another project of your job (and a medium sized one at that), so that you allow enough time and resources to learn how to do it well.

Get some training in public speaking, too - average won&#039;t cut it if you&#039;re hiking yourself out as a speaker!  The stakes are higher that way.
