<description>Excellent post! The hardest part of networking is getting people to understand that it is not reaching out to take (a one way street), but to give first, then receive (a two way street). We all remember those who helped us! We are constantly advising our members to reach out to companies and recruiters - offer assistance with contacts, congratulate others on good news and offer assistance (it could lead to a new position). With the proper mindset - and timing (!) anything is possible.
