Our goal is to Inform, Empower and Inspire professional women with our content and our network. Our network can be the basis for your network.

We advise employers on how to create a working environment which is conducive to the continued development and success of women. To ensure gender parity and total inclusion in the workplace, there must be support from the top and structures in place that allow women to thrive not just survive.

Ways in which we can help your firm include:

  • Build your women’s network, or develop content for your existing network.
  • Diagnose problem areas and create solutions to implement for the improved attraction, development and retention of women in your firm.
  • Provide specialized courses via our learning partners e.g negotiation training
  • Organize networking events around a business discussion/panel debate
  • Organize career development events

If you have any issues that you would like to discuss please call Nicki Gilmour for an exploratory call on +1 646 6882318

  • Sharing stories of women breaking the glass ceiling and thriving at the top (in our Voices of Experience, 35 Under 35, Movers and Shakers series) as well as inspiring stories of women doing extraordinary things outside of their high-powered careers (in our Women and Philanthropy, Passions, and Intrepid Women series)

Nicki HeadshotNicki Gilmour
Founder, Evolved People Media LLC
Publisher and CEO, The Glass Hammer
CEO, Evolved Employer

Nicki Gilmour, a Belfast native, is a dedicated workplace game changer with over a decade of experience in the media industry.

One of the original team assembled by Angus MacDonald at the Financial News in London, Nicki relocated to the US in 2004 to run The Financial News Group’s online career sites (efinancialcareers.com and jobsinthemoney.com) as Managing Director. The newspaper and career sites were sold in 2006 and 2007.

While running efinancialcareers, Nicki recognized that companies spend a great deal of time and money trying to recruit diverse talent but saw that women, once hired were not progressing at an equal pace to men up the ranks. She founded Evolved People Media LLC in July 2007 with the flagship website theglasshammer.com to inform, inspire and empower women in the financial and professional services industry and in tandem launched evolvedemployer.com to inform business leaders and HR champions about progressive workplace issues and talent management strategies to develop and retain their most engaged talent- including women.

Nicki has a business degree from the Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK and a graduate degree in business from Universidad de Murcia in Spain. Nicki is currently undertaking an Executive Masters in Change Leadership at Columbia University in New York. Nicki resides in NYC with her partner and enjoys engaging conversation, fine wine, surfing and snowboarding/skiing in her spare time.
